In the last 7 years as the founder/director for Camp Timber Creek, Camp Golden Treasures and now Camp Shining Stars; hundreds of campers went home with tremendous weight loss but most important their self-esteem improved dramatically. Selecting a staff dedicated to helping you and offering a tremendous amount of support and nurturing; is how the camp achieves these results.
I was always the biggest kid in my class growing up. At 12 years old, I weighed 200 pounds and when I graduated high school, 325 pounds. As an adult, I peaked at over 480 pounds. I've experienced what you face  on a daily basis. I know that my staff and I, with the support and knowledge of the Medical Advisory Board, will make a positive change in your life. You parents must be part of this metamorphosis for you to succeed.
Most camps show great short-term results. We want to take weight loss camps to a new level by having the best result after camp. For that reason, we are developing a variety of intensive, family-centered follow up programs for you to participate in after camp. My dedicated staff and I will work with you year-round to give you the tools you and your parents need to make lasting changes.
We have only 100 camper openings for this summer. I will know and work with every camper. I will be your biggest cheerleader and teach you to be one too!
