Ira Green: Weight Loss Camp Director, Motivational Speaker, Consultant, and Youth Program Developer, In the last 9 years as the founder/director for the Healthy Children Foundation, Camp Timber Creek, and now Camp Shining Stars; Ira has helped hundreds of campers go home with tremendous weight loss but most important their self-esteem improved dramatically.
Ira has spoken at numerous meetings and conventions about the tools needed by youth to battle obesity. He is involved with helping others start programs targeting quality of life transformation with youth and adults.

Sharon Isenhour Sarvey, PhD, RN is the Dean of Nursing School at Barton College (Wilson, North Carolina); and prior was an associate professor in the College of Nursing, at East Carolina University (Greenville, North Carolina). Sarvey has been teaching pediatric nursing for over twenty years. Her numerous years of experience working with children with complex health needs in all settings has led to her extensive involvement with children experiencing significant weight challenges and the impact weight loss has on their quality of life. Dr. Sarvey is actively involved in residential weight loss camp programming and implementation and has worked with numerous campers investigating and communicating the impact of camp-based weigh loss interventions. Dr. Sarvey is a member of the Society of Pediatric Nurses and is President-elect of the National Association of Bariatric Nurses..
Stacey Halprin: Author, Actress, Motivational Speaker, and Frequent Oprah Guest.
Stacey is the author of Winning After Losing, a book that encompasses her inspirational life story after losing over 300 pounds. Stacey has appeared on Oprah 10 times, and also starred in the movie, Dress Code, alongside Shirley MacLaine, Kathy Bates and Gary Sinise. She has also appeared in numerous shows and
plays in NYC.
Her motivational speaking engagements and blogs have helped hundreds of others to a more rewarding quality of life.
Stacey will be returning to Camp Shining Stars this summer to continue to help overweight youth build their self esteem, losing weight and having fun!
